The Space Station
Is there anything more exciting than exploring space? A theme that captures everyone’s imagination. The idea of launching off in a shuttle to visit and explore far away planets and stars is something many children dream of. The night sky is beautiful and fascinating- stars, planets, satellites are all visible to the naked eye on a clear night. Yo might even be lucky enough to spot a shooting star. Why not launch your own shuttle to a space station fueled with wonder and imagination?
Our large format “I am a….”poster is designed to introduce the vocabulary around the theme of Space where children can discuss the theme. Character Traits flash-cards can be added to the poster to encourage children to think about and identify the behaviours that they expect from an astronaut. The “I use..” flash-cards help to introduce some new vocabulary; and the blank cards can be used to scribe the roles and responsibilities that the children consider part of the role of an astronaut.
