The recycling centre
Children love to watch the rubbish truck come and collect the bins which is why so many people asked us to add an authentic Refuse Collector costume to our lineup. Children are equally excited to learn about taking care of their environment whether it is at home or in the classroom, as part or earth day or simply as a way to explore their role as young citizens.
Our free recycling centre pack contains lots of resources for setting up your own recycling centre at home or as part of aistear in the classroom. With lots of signs, posters, name badges, certificates and flashcards it is a great way to create a fun, print rich environment where children can learn all about the role they can play in keeping our environment clean and safe.

Dramatic play in the early years
Dramatic play is an important part of early childhood development. It helps children learn about themselves, their community, and how things work. Dramatic play also supports the development of communication and social skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
This recycling centre dramatic play pack is aligned with the Aistear framework. It includes lots of posters and signs for creating a print-rich learning environment whilst introducing theme-specific vocabulary, strengthening language and literacy skills.
